Recent training in the Rattlesnake Canyon area. Team members worked on Off-Roading techniques, compass skills, GPS navigation and communication skills. The day finished off with a team BBQ!

On March 28 Victor Valley Search & Rescue was requested by San Bernardino Sheriff's Department to deploy to the Bowen Ranch / Deep Creek area of Apple Valley and search for a missing / overdue hiker. Several Victor Valley Search & Rescue team members responded as well as a Rancho Cucamonga Deputy and their tracking K9. Upon arriving at the command post location near Bowen Ranch they began the search as they made their way toward the hot springs. Upon arriving at the hot springs, and searching the surrounding area the subject was located. Tired, cold and hungry but otherwise in good shape. The search team slowly and cautiously hiked the subject out and reunited them with awaiting family.![]()
